Welcome to Absolute Quality Care (AQC). AQC provides people with the type of care they really want, delivered by people they like, trust and who will listen to them.
AQC is registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide services in the following categories:
deafblindness, visual impairment, hearing impairment, acquired communication disorders, dementia, eating disorders, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, physical disabilities, substance misuse problems, caring for adults under 65, caring for adults over 65, caring for people whose rights are restricted under the Mental Health Act.
Welcome to In Good Hands, a project created and managed by SCENE.
IGH will offer training to private, voluntary and independent organisations who support older people to enable them to recognise age related deafblindness and other acquired communication disorders to enable them to build their capacity to support this group of people.
Local communities, families and carers, of older people will be able to access IGH training and volunteering opportunities.
Training and qualifications have been developed for local authority teams who have a statutory responsibility to be specialist deafblind assessors under the provisions of the Care Act 2014.

We act as a communication channel between the care sector and strategic organisations delivering the Skills Agenda which ensures the voice of the employer is represented at regional level. NCA is a member of the Sector Skills Council, Skills for Care and works in partnership with the other Alliances in the North East to share good practice.
NCA will continue to offer a range of free training opportunities to the private, voluntary and independent care sector in Northumberland.
